Steam starts, then STOPS! August 23, 2010 BooKKeeper (North Riverside, IL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Brand new, out of the box, this handheld steamer did not work properly. Took forever to boil, then steam - and once it did, it stopped after about 10 seconds. It kept doing that, steaming, then stopping. The instruction booklet says that the cause for this could be mineral build-up. However, (1) I used (recommended) distilled water and (2) how can there be mineral build-up on a NEW product? (Unless someone returned this one and it was re-sold?) I do NOT recommend this steamer!
Quick and easy to use June 24, 2010 Karen M. (New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really like this steamer. The on/off switch is convenient. It holds enough water to steam several garments and heats up quickly. It does spit some water, but it dries in a few minutes. I had always used an iron prior to buying this steamer, and I don't think my iron will ever be used again! I bought my steamer through Amazon a few months ago, and just ordered another one for my daughter.
disappointed March 20, 2010 buffy (LAYTONVILLE, US, Canada) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was hoping a steamer would be like an iron, but it isn't. It will make a wrinkled garment wearable, but it will never be crisp like an ironed one. Seems to work best if clothing is steamed against a wall or other surface. Also, it looks best if allowed to cool and dry on a hanger.
It works, but it's not the best thing ever March 16, 2010 M. Studart (New York) It works well, like it will get rid of the wrinkles, but you have to position it correctly orelse it will wet your clothes with the hot steam. My cousin tried it and it wet his shirt, but when I used it, it just got rid of the wrinkles.
Small, but powerful February 9, 2010 Elizabeth Chin (burke, va) This steamer works well for its size. I only wish it was a bit bigger!
