Good for the price August 9, 2010 co2chantel We moved into a new house that had dark counter top, and black appliences, so I needed a black toaster. This one was a good price so I ordered it. Got it very quickly. Seems to work pretty good. My only complaint would be that what I thought was metal on the front (the grey knobs) are plastic. So it looks cheap. But I guess you get what you pay for. It will work for now.
Half dead on arival June 22, 2010 Buy By Reviews (Islamorada, FL USA) This was suppose to be one of many father day gifts. The night before I plugged it in attempting to give it it's first burn off (dust etc...) I could only get one side to work, the other side just would not go down even after setting the temp, putting it on Bagel and putting the lever down many times, determined to get it to work, it wouldn't. We never used it that is why I gave it STARS, this had a cheap feel to it. This is going to be returned.
NOW I FOUND A BETTER TOASTER in my search I found the "Back to Basic 4 slice" and will cook 2 eggs with ham even sausage rounds and cheese etc... all by the time your toast is done, why mess around when you want to eat quick without the mess, I'm spending the extra money. I also read how great the customer service is by many.

Not likely to every buy a Sunbeam product again March 20, 2010 KLNcatz (Altoona, IA United States) I bought the Sunbeam 3911 toaster after accidentally getting a toaster popup stuck between the toaster wall and the wire basket on my old toaster (the 2-slice Sunbeam 3910). When I tried to clean the toaster I caused one of the heating wires to bow away from the inside piece it is wrapped around. I got the Sunbeam 3911 home and glanced inside it only to see one wire, approximately half an inch long, sticking straight out towards the wire basket and another piece of wire that looked like it had been sticking out but then been pressed down flat. I also saw several spots where the wire was bowed away from the piece it wraps around - not as far as I had accidentally pulled the wire on my old toaster but it definitely didn't look right. I also noticed that instead of wrapping the wire from the notch on one side of the inner piece to the corresponding notch on the other side, there were several places where they jumped up a notch or two and the wire was at an angle causing a big gap between some of the wires. It may be cheaper for Sunbeam to use less wire, but I think it also explains why people using this toaster have problems with their bread toasting unevenly. I checked my old toaster and it was that way too, which explains why toast made in my old Sunbeam toaster had some areas that looked toasted and others that didn't. I have since taken the Sunbeam 3911 toaster back and purchased a different brand.
Plastic junk. February 17, 2010 David M. Scribner (Richmond, VA) From the day I recieved it, one half of the toaster never worked. The lever wont latch to begin the toasting process. I need to send it back but I'm too busy and for $25.00 it doesnt seem to be worth it. Lesson learned...when you buy a cheap piece you get a cheap piece. Its over-comercialized import junk.
Sumbeam Toaster February 10, 2010 Juliet Dallas (Kingston Jamaica) I have always wanted a good toaster and then I thought a 4-slice would be more appropriate since I really use more than 4 slices of bread at a time. The Sunbeam name I had known for a long time because of Sewing Machines and I said that it should be good.
I think this is a good appliance and I chose the right colour. I also made sure to buy a cover to keep it clean and nice and I warned my 10 year old not to touch it.
I look forward to having it for a long time. I usually care my stuff. I would recommend this to anyone.
Thank you.
